Confused about the difference between
all the different types of epoxy coatings?

We decided an "actual samples" page might help.
See below for actual samples of some of our finishes.

(Some samples shown larger than actual size to reveal detail)

Our full flake systems come in an array of colors but also an array of sizes from 1/16th inch (above) chips to 1/4 inch chips (below) to create an endless array of texture and color combinations to match everything fromt he trim on your house to the brick pavers in your driveway and beyond.

Check out the interactive color selector on our supplier's site: Torga Chip Selector

All of the samples shown are installed as seamless coatings.
No cracks and crevices to allow leaks and spils to contaminate your floor.

All of our coatings have an optional aluminum oxide additive to prevent slips, trips and fall. This additive is a colorless aggregate that is broadcast evenly over the floor to provide a slip resistant finish.

Just as with our full flake systems, our random flake finishes also have a variety of chip sizes and colors. Check out the interactive color selector on our supplier's site: Torga Chip Selector

Color Quartz

(Note: we have included a "blown up" version of the quartz flooring on the following samples)

Quartz finishes are available in a wide array of colors created by mixing any combination of available colors. The photo on the right is a combination of Black, White, Brown, Tan and Oxide.
The photo on the left is a 50/50 mix of simple red and white.

Quartz is one of the more durable epoxy finishes and has a greater installed thickness than a standard epoxy finish. If you are looking for a flooring with the greatest possible durability, this is the selection for you. Additionally, quartz applications are great for covering up floor imperfections like cracks and divots.

When all is said and done, you want to make sure you have gotten the best possible coating for your needs. If your newly coated floor will be in the direct sunlight you may want to consider a polyurea or urethane top coat for a small upcharge.

Here's the reson why you may want to add this upgrade to your floor:

Notice the difference in the right and left side?
The left side has been treated with a Polyurea top coat,
the right side has not and it is showing signs of discolorization and ambering.

Almost every person who installs epoxy coatings knows that their product contains a UV resistant chemical but what they dont understand is that just because it has UV resistance doesnt mean it is enough to protect from the harmful rays of the sun and UV lighting.

Would you put on SPF 2 sunblock to spend a day in the scorching sun? Of course not, so why would you take that risk with your epoxy coating? That's the difference between epoxy and polyurea, SPF 2 versus SPF 99!

Thats what polyurea and urethane do to protect your floor, they add UV protection AND an added layer of strength and thickness but because their chemical composition is superior to epoxy they also add a higher level of scratch resistance.

Choosing the polyurea or urethane top coat is a smart choice.
